i spent so much time thinking— france was a place for me, not germany.

at first sight i was shocked at how small it seemed to be, but as i strolled towards the city centre, the place looked more alive.

there was a saturday market, this beautiful church, a lot of patisseries (my paradise) the only thing i hated about it was that i needed to pay 10c. for a town map.

even this small little town had a library! i wished there were as much libraries in germany (let alone thailand, very small hope for that)

this restaurant smelled declicious. there were women sitting around by the river near this restaurant, working on their watercolour paintings. that, made me fall in love with france even more.

this cafe looked really cozy, not as much variations of dessert to fulfill my need at that time. though i considered coming back to this town and maybe stop by at this cafe next time.

i even thought about taking a 2 hours train from home just to draw something, read a great books and write stories here. it would be totally worth the ride.

it was amazing how just two hours away, everything could be so different but yet similar. different language which i couldn't at all understand (except for bonjour and merci) but what a little unexpected for me was the fact the people spoke better german that english. it wasn't really unexpected, but i thought they'd able to speak good english as well. turned out they couldn't.

i didn't think i could fall in love with france and everything french more than i already did.

but maybe because i didn't live there and i couldn't live there, so it appeared to be more interesting to discover.

and that was the charm of travelling, being where i had never been, acted like a traveller, asked questions locals wouldn't ask.

i am a traveller.
