grandma's birthday—(but mostly about the comfortable silence i shared with a cat-lover boy)
4:41 PM
it was on monday, the only bad thing was it was on monday, but still :)
there were almost 10 different cakes. i ate rice and chicken for dinner, which was very thai indeed.
my favourite strawberry cake made by grandma
cherry tart/pie/crumble or something with whipping cream (quite nice)
poppy seed tart/crumble (bit too sweet)
chocolate chip cheese cake with cake and chocolate pudding frosting (fatty good)
fruit roll
but the best thing there wasn't food, or cake, or an escape from the house. it was this:
my beloved Luna.
she was almost 1 year old and was the only cat in my dentist-aunt family. a cousin and Luna's owner was a boy my age, a son of the aunt and very reserved.
most importantly, he was very fond of cats, Luna in particular.
he stared in her eyes and just stroked her and just stayed like that, and i liked it.
the two of us were in complete silence, so weird it didn't feel awkward to me. it felt comfortable.
we shared nothing in common, nothing but our love for cats and Luna. and that was enough to make me happy.
because at least we had something in common, and i for a moment i knew where i belonged.
