to me, oktoberfest was just another typical german festival. the only two differences were one, it was humongous, and two, the beer tents.

i didn't think the beer tents would be appealing to me, at least not until i was in the festival and thought 'i want to go in there!' but i really did have only half and hour there. i had to take a train home (to nurnberg) at 9pm, would be home at around midnight and had to wake up at half past six for school the next day. not to mention that i also woke up at half past six that morning to go to neuschwanstein castle.

see? my life was really an adventure. a series of fun and tiredness.

so i made a promise to myself that i would come back here, buy a dirndl and go into beer tents and just lose control and have fun with friends for a night (or two) or just simply experience the feeling and atmosphere of being in a beer tent at the biggest beer festival in the world (even though i tried oktoberfest bottled beer and it tasted like shit. franconian beer was ten times (or even twenty times) better)

tip from a guru: as my host dad was a beer-pro, the best beer in munich wasn't hofbrauhaus or paulaner,  but it was ausgustiner that you should drink!

at the very least, roasted chicken in oktoberfest was very deliciously (and very expensive as well) we had a funny ride back home eating half of the roasted chicken on the train.
