a little backpacking trip to nuremberg—in this crazy weather

finally, here comes the day i've been waiting for!

after 1 week of staying home in my precious holiday, i'm dying to go outside. even though the weather is unbelievably unbearable right now (and it has been for the whole holiday) and it's not quite a good weather to go outside and travel, but i don't really care.

i'm going to nuremberg, a city in northern bavaria, today. my exchange student friend from thailand will host two other friends and i for 3 nights and i already plan the travel itinerary for everyone :) (the best thing to do ever)

i'm taking a bus from heilbronn direct to nuremberg with flixbus. it'll take about 2 hours and costed 18 euros for a round trip. it could be a lot cheaper if i booked earlier. but it's still cheaper than the train and with trains, i'll change like one or two times. so i'll see how is my first experience with german bus will be. hope it won't disappoint me (like local german trains that are always late)

  • i'll arrive in nuremberg at around three o'clock and there won't be much time to do anything. so we'll just explore the city.
  • the next day, tuesday, will have the best weather in the whole trip. so we'll take a train to wurzburg and stay there for about the whole day (if there're enough things to keep us occupied)
  • wednesday morning will be spent in nuremberg and we'll eat lunch at a thai restaurant (one my friends hasn't have a thai food for too long, unlike me :) before taking a train to bamberg, have a pint of beer there and probably meet up with my german friend from the camp. then we planned to spend our night out somewhere. gotta be fun ;)
  • the last day will be short and my bus leaves at noon. so just let it go naturally

we'll by a bayern ticket for the two whole days which will cost each of us 8.5 euros and can be used to go to everywhere in bavaria with local trains (include bus and everything but IC and ICE)

i'm taking only a backpack and a shoulder bag with me, keep it simple yeah?

so please wish me luck (especially with the weather) and the review of these cities will be posted up here soon once i'm back.
