paris
plan for paris
12:31 AM
i literally check the weather for paris everyday, because now my heart and soul are already there and don't want any rain to destroy my perfect paris.
like i mentioned above, my heart and soul are already there. i planed everything myself (well, i love planning trips anyway) and i feel like 4 days in paris are not enough. there are sooooo many things to do and see! and i can spend the entire day in louvre or d'orsay if i don't bother if my host sister will get bored (but i do, actually)
we are taking TGV from karlsruhe to paris. the train will leave at half seven and we will arrive there at half ten. so three hours and the train, even shorty than a ride from chiang mai to sukhothai. we will be staying at Maison du Pre which is not so far away from Paris Est, where we will arrive.
TGV ticket and 4 nights in paris with breakfast costed me 318 euros in total, not that bad huh? maris booked it with a travel agency which she said it's always cheaper.
on the day back, tuesday, the train leave paris at 3 pm, so that means we have a little more than 4 full days in paris.
so let's get start with my plan
- day 1 (with carnet tickets)
evening—maybe a Seine river cruise at night if the weather is lovely, or walking in paris at night
- day 2 (with ticket jeunes weekend zone 1-5, 7.85 euros)
afternoon—versailles, outside in the garden
evening—maybe a Seine river cruise at night if the weather is lovely, or walking in paris at night
- day 3 (with ticket jeunes weekend zone 1-3, 3.65 euros)
afternoon—d'orsay (can be moved to tuesday morning if the weather is too lovely for museum)
evening—maybe a Seine river cruise at night if the weather is lovely, or walking in paris at night
- day 4 (with carnet tickets)
- day 5 (with carnet tickets)
now let's get into the details
- sightseeings
—notre dame, the point zero! (oh my god it just reminded me of anna and the french kiss!)
—arc de triomphe, also go to the top and watch in in the night
—place des vosges
—sainte chapelle
—musee de louvre (close every tuesday)
—musee d'orsay (close every monday)
—versailles palace & garden (close every monday)
—invalides
—the patheon (maybe only from the outside
—montmartre, the sacre couer and artist street. must also walk up to the top of it
—ile st. louise, the little island behind notre dame
—luxembourge garden (of we have any time left at all?)
- to do
—walk along seines river, at least until louvre, if possible until eiffel tower
—paris at night, this one is very very important
- shops
—les bouquinistes, outdoor vintage french bookshop by seine river
- no life without FOOD!
—pierre herme and his famous isaphan
—ice cream at berthillon or amorino (on the little ile st. louise island)
—french crepe!
—eclaire
—hot chocolate
—madeleine
—falafel
and that's pretty much it for my paris plan, of course the review will be written soon after i come back from my trip (or not? by then i might be busy with the school) (like i learn anything anyway)
so, which me a wonderful weather. ONE WEEK UNTIL PARIS!
