for my 6 days stay in hamburg, this was my favourite day.
lubeck was my favourite town.

first of all, i took a train from lubeck main station to travemunde strand (which meant travemunde beach) it tool about 20minutes. so worth it.

coming from thailand but living so far from the ocean, the last time i was at the beach was over a year ago (and that was even the beach in new zealand!) and for 2-3 years that i had not been to a beach in thailand.

even though it was nothing compare to thailand. it was nice to feel the sand and the sea again.

the big ship at the back was passat, the famous sailing ship.

and the habour was pretty (well, probably because we didn't have a lot of them in thailand)

and it was so nice to eat seafood again! we had lunch at fisherman's restaurant. the dishes were nice and worth the price we paid.

pier near the restaurant

we spent even more than half a day at travemunde (and wished we had more time to spend a lovely tea time at niederegger by the habour. paddled the paddle boat in the sea was a unique experience since in thailand we only did that in the lake (did we? well, i guessed)

we took a train back to lubeck right when i started to rain. and because niederegger was a must when you visited lubeck, it was also a nice shelter when the whole town was soaking wet.

but i didn't like marzipan!! so i ordered my favourite cake in germany, the strawberry cake, instead. just to be save.

this chocolate whatsover with marzipan was way too sweet.

this nut thingie was also sweet but tasted a lot better than the chocolate one. the scent of nut (i guessed it was walnut) was tempting.

i personally wouldn't come back here again. the prices were so high and i'd better buy the tastier french patisserie. but it was only my opinion and both german cakes and marzipan weren't my cups of tea.

we strolled around the marktplatz and city hall a bit when the rain stopped.

if i had some more time, i would have gone to this little cute figurentheater museum for sure.

let's end up this blog post with a beautiful castle right before sunset. the combination of beach, old towns and river was just simple charming.
