travelling
what i learnt from travelling people that are not my family
9:26 PMtravelling with family
—i hardly get to decide anything about the trip. all of the decisions are down to my dad—i don't have to worry about how much i spend (at lease on eating) because mum and dad always pay
—i don't have a lot of freedom to do what i want to do
—we travel slowly and take time at each place
—we do both local and tourist things
travelling with friends
—i plan most part of the trip so i can choose where i want to go—i have to keep my budget low
—my companies always wake up late, or i always wake up too early, full of energy and ready to explore
—and they like shopping
—and they don't like walking or doing tourist things
—and not much of local things either
—they travel too fast
—i can never always get what i want
so basically, what i learnt from travelling with friends is that, i can't just pick any friends and go on an around-the-world or around-europe backpacking trip with them. we have to have common style of travelling.
like waking up early
walk a lot
travel slowly
explore the town thoroughly
try local things
do tourist things
going to museums
and so on...
i realised that a best travelling companion is quite hard to find
and even if i travel with the best one i can find, still i can't always do what i wanna do
or maybe i should consider solo travelling.
